The trail starts from the parking area in Ripe di Civitella, near the Gole del Salinello (picnic and camping area).

The route follows the same trail there and back, passing by the Hermitage of Sant’Angelo in Volturino. From there, you’ll come across the Caccamo waterfall and continue by descending to the riverbed, until you reach the stunning vertical rock walls that define the Gole del Salinello. From here, return along the same path to the starting point.
