More than just nature: discover the wonderful villages between Abruzzo and Marche

Ascoli Piceno. Situata ai piedi dei Monti Gemelli, è un centro ricco di storia e fascino. Innumerevoli sono le Piazze, le Chiese, i Palazzi e le opere di grande interesse. Antiche tradizioni, come la lavorazione della ceramica, e spettacolari rievocazioni storiche, come la famosa “Quintana”, trovano in Ascoli Piceno il luogo ideale per essere apprezzate e valorizzate.

Una cittadina aristocratica, ricca di arte e di storia, che sorge su una rupe rocciosa di travertino ed è dominata dalla Fortezza, ultimo baluardo dei Borbone prima dell’Unità d’Italia, e vero punto di attrazione. È caratterizzata da una forte vivacità culturale, che la rende il teatro perfetto per eventi di vario genere. — Civitella del Tronto. Campli. Nel 2021 Campli si è aggiudicato il 6° posto nel prestigioso concorso Borgo dei Borghi, al quale hanno partecipato le più belle cittadine di tutta Italia: questo dice già molto sulla meraviglia di questo piccolo gioiello. La Scala Santa ed il Museo Archeologico sono solo due tra le tante attrattive da visitare.

Folignano. Il tipico borgo medievale, un luogo che ha saputo attraversare i secoli, raccogliendo testimonianze di storia da mostrare ai turisti. A pochi km da Colle San Marco, offre la possibilità di vivere un tempo sospeso tra l’architettura, memoria dei tempi passati, e la Natura incontaminata, con l’immancabile fuga nel buon mangiare.

Valle Castellana. Uno scrigno ricco di meraviglie paesaggistiche e luoghi incontaminati: castagneti secolari, praterie floreali, fiumi e ruscelli purissimi, il tutto contornato da borghi in pietra e vecchi mulini abbandonati. Ma anche Castel Manfrino, un rudere dal fascino misterioso, il Castello Bonifaci e la Chiesa di San Nicola di Bari.

Ascoli Piceno

Civitella del Tronto

An aristocratic town rich in art and history, perched on a travertine rock and dominated by its Fortress, the last stronghold of the Bourbons before the Unification of Italy, and a key attraction of the town. Civitella del Tronto is known for its vibrant cultural scene, making it the perfect setting for events of all kinds.

Campli

In 2021, Campli earned 6th place in the prestigious “Borgo dei Borghi competition”, which featured the most beautiful towns across Italy: this alone speaks volumes about the charm of this little gem.
The Scala Santa ( Holy Stairs) and the Archaeological Museum are just two of the many attractions worth visiting.

Folignano

Folignano sits on a hill south of Ascoli Piceno, nestled between San Marco Hill to the west and Maltignano to the east.
A medieval village with an ancient history. Its name derives from the Latin "fuit lignum," referring to the dense woods that once surrounded the area, or from "castrum fundanianum," now Folignano Castle, a medieval defensive outpost. The ruins of this fortress and the Picene necropolises are now a fascinating tourist attraction.

Valle Castellana

A treasure chest of breathtaking landscapes and untouched places: ancient chestnut groves, blooming meadows, pristine rivers and streams, all surrounded by stone villages and abandoned old mills.
You will also find the mysterious and captivating ruin of Manfrino Castle, the captiving Bonifaci Castle, and the Church of San Nicola di Bari.
